Our Teachers’ Commitment to Child Protection

All of our educators have completed internationally recognized Level 1 Child Protection Training, equipping them with the knowledge and skills necessary to safeguard children in every aspect of school life.

In addition, our teachers have also participated in a workshop organized by UNESCO, which focused on the use of tools accredited by the Ministry of Education for the prevention of and response to cases of violence.

As a result, our teachers are able to:

  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of the importance of safeguarding and its application in a school environment.
  • Fulfill their Duty of Care with full awareness of their legal and ethical responsibilities in child protection.
  • Identify and categorize various forms of abuse, as well as understand the dangers these pose to children’s safety and well-being.
  • Detect indicators and behaviors that may suggest abuse in children or signal concerning behavior in adults.
  • Respond in a professional, consistent, and appropriate manner to concerns or disclosures of abuse.
  • Apply correct procedures for reporting, documenting, monitoring, and reviewing any suspected cases of child abuse, in alignment with institutional policies and national legislation.

Our Policy in Action

In accordance with Bolivian Law Nº 548 – Código Niña, Niño y Adolescente, Trinity School staff are legally required to report any suspicion or disclosure of abuse to school leadership, who must notify the Defensoría de la Niñez y Adolescencia or relevant authorities within 24 hours.

This legal duty, combined with our Christian responsibility to protect the vulnerable, ensures that every child entrusted to us is safeguarded with care, integrity, and accountability.

At Trinity School, we affirm a zero-tolerance policy for abuse in any form. Every child is created in the image of God, and it is our sacred responsibility to protect, nurture, and uphold their dignity. Safeguarding is not only our legal duty but also a Gospel mandate, and we are committed to ensuring that every child entrusted to our care grows in an environment of safety, love, and respect.
